Hotel Logo Redesign

This assignment was to pick any five-star hotel and redesign its logo. Then I created more applications such as a van, gift store bags, and hotel soaps to transfer the design to other aspects of the hotel. This project took about 5 weeks from concept to final execution all done by myself. I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Aztec Mexican Juices

I created a label inspired by Aztec culture for a tropical drink. The illustrations are based on actual Aztec deities with descriptions of their cultural significance on the label and made in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The figures are based on Art Nouveau posters to create dynamic labels. The bottle design and mockups were created in Adobe Dimensions.

This project took about 5 weeks and I designed, illustrated, and created the mock-up.

Chemo Care

In this project I developed a Chemo Care kit for chemotherapy patients. It includes products that help with nausea, pain and stress. I personally have had a family member going through chemotherapy and I wanted to use my knowledge of what helps in that situation.

I tried to reorient my point of view from your average person to someone whose hands probably had IVs in them and eyesight was possibly not the best. So every packaging element I tried to create an easy-to-use and understand the product that wouldn't roll away or be hard to open. None of the designs are circular and the color combinations I chose are high-contrast so they would be easy to read. The bottle for the lavender tea is clear so that there is no question how much of the drink is left, which might be of larger importance if you don't have much strength in your hands to lift a heavy bottle from medication or needles. I also chose to do a wrap-around paper with the name and product description so that it could be taken off and just be a plain bag with the logo. This way it could be discreetly carried around, without the patient having to announce their cancer diagnosis.
